Woman killed at home in Clinton

CLINTON — Authorities said a woman was shot dead in a home in Clinton and a man who was also there was wounded.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said 35-year-old Jessica Jane Kauley was pronounced dead at a hospital. A friend at the house, 26-year-old Shawn Patrick Spottedwolf, was wounded but had non-life-threatening injuries.
Clinton police were called to the home at 2:20 a.m. Thursday. At about 3 a.m., police received a call from a nearby home where a man had detained a 22-year-old he said broke into his house.
Clinton police asked the OSBI to help investigate the homicide and how it may be connected to the burglary.
The investigation is continuing.
