Randy Rogers Band to play Cain's Ballroom on Monday

Texas music group the Randy Rogers Band will ring in the new year with boot-scooting swagger, 8 p.m. Monday at Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Main St.

Kyle Park will open the all-ages show.

The band's sixth studio album, "Trouble," will be released Feb. 12. Its first album was a live outing, "Live at Cheatham Street Warehouse," released in 2000 to critical acclaim, and helped establish the band's reputation for well-played live music.

Rogers has co-written other songs, including the Kenny Chesney hit "Somebody Take Me Home," from Chesney's 2005 album "The Road and the Radio."

The Randy Rogers Band recently released the single "One More Sad Song," and it soon became the band's first Billboard Top 40 hit.

Other popular songs from the band include "Tonight's Not the Night (For Goodbye)," "Down and Out," "Kiss Me in the Dark," "One More Goodbye," "In My Arms Instead," "Buy Myself a Chance," "Too Late for Goodbye," "Steal You Away" and "Last Last Chance."
