An accused burglar was arrested Thursday after a man and woman chased him into an alley and held him for police.

Justin W. Watt, 25, is being held at the Tulsa Jail on a complaint of burglary from a vehicle.

Residents in the 7000 block of 78th East Avenue returned to their home shortly before midnight to find two men standing near an SUV in their driveway with a third man still inside, police said in Watt’s arrest report.

The men standing outside the vehicle fled north while the third man, whom police identified as Watt, fled south toward Burlington Coat Factory, 7030 S. Memorial Drive, the arresting officer wrote.

Two of the residents, a man and a woman, chased Watt down an alley, and the man subdued Watt after a scuffle, the report states.

Police found Watt in possession of items stolen from the SUV, including a cell phone and GPS device, according to the report.

Watt was transported to Oklahoma State University Medical Center and treated for lacerations.
