Molly Anderson's idea that legislation will solve an obesity problem is severely misguided ("Law will help solve state's obesity problem," Dec. 13).
I am not saying there isn't an obesity problem, but to think legislation will solve that or any problem is nothing more than a naive road paved with good intentions.
I do not understand where people get the absurd idea that to solve any problem that we need to pass a law at the local, state or national level. If that were the case, then no one would smoke pot, bootleg movies, shoot their neighbor, or text when they drive.
