A Texas man who allegedly held an 85-year-old woman at gunpoint as he burglarized her home faces several felony charges.

Justin Kyle Barberousse, 23, of San Antonio, was charged Friday with first- and second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, weapons offenses and a misdemeanor count of obstructing an officer, court filings show.

Barberousse was arrested on Dec. 22 after a witness reported seeing a man fitting his description breaking into a vehicle in the 3100 block of South 85th East Avenue, according to Barberousse’s arrest report.

A woman living in the 8200 block of East 32nd Street had reported a burglary during which a man held her at gunpoint and stole her jewelry hours earlier, the arresting officer wrote. Police found Barberousse to be in possession of the stolen jewelry and burglary tools, the report states.

Filings indicate the arresting officers recovered a 9 mm Kahr pistol, a screwdriver, a wedger and pliers from Barberousse.

He’s charged with feloniously pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm after the former conviction of a felony.

Barberousse pleaded guilty to eight burglary counts, grand larceny and two counts of knowingly concealing stolen property in a 2010 case. He served six months of a four-year prison sentence in the Tulsa Jail. The remainder of his sentence was suspended.
