I reside on the south side of Tulsa about five blocks north of Memorial Park Cemetery and would like folks to realize the drought in this area is worse than what should be considered by the rainfall amounts reported at the airport.

I have a Davis Weather Wizard III weather station. It has an anemometer, outdoor temperature probe and a self-dumping rain gage. It keeps a running total of the rainfall and so far this year it has recorded 23.04 inches of rain, 4.99 inches less than what has been recorded at the airport and is 17.49 inches less than what is reported as normal at the official Tulsa weather station.

I am of the opinion the rain gauge in my weather station is accurate because when the city is blanketed by a relatively uniform rainfall it records a similar amount of rain.
