U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe calls Environmental
Protection Agency Administrator
Lisa Jackson one of his
“favorite liberals.” To Inhofe’s
way of thinking, Jackson
helped further his argument
that climate change is a hoax.
When Jackson announced
last week she is leaving the
EPA in early 2013, Inhofe took
the occasion to praise Jackson
in a way that also heaped
more criticism on the Obama
administration and the EPA.
“Lisa Jackson and I disagreed
on many issues and
regulations while she headed
the EPA,” Inhofe said in a
written statement. “However,
I have always appreciated her
receptivity to my concerns, her
accessibility and her honesty.
She was one of the few at the
EPA that was honest with me.
“She stated that the endangerment
finding would be
based on the (United Nations
Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change), a science
that was totally discredited... .
She also had the courage to
answer honestly when I asked
her if passing cap-and-trade in
the United States would lower
world wide carbon dioxide
emission, and of course she
answered no. While so many
other Obama Administration
appointees don’t tell the truth,
she did, and I hope that is not
the reason for her departure.”
Farm aid fails: A bid to add
drought relief for farmers
and ranchers to a Senate bill
containing emergency aid for
areas hit by superstorm Sandy
failed late Friday.
Oklahoma’s senators, Jim
Inhofe and Tom Coburn, voted
against the amendment.
