Fredrick Winston Kraushaar, 78, was born November 4, 1934 in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the second of four sons born to Elijah and Marjorie Olinger Kraushaar. He died Friday, December 28, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Sammie Wieser Kraushaar, four step-children, seven step-grandchildren, one brother, Paul Olinger Kraushaar of Muscatine, Iowa, seven nieces and nephews, and five great-nieces and nephews. After serving in the Army and earning a Masters degree in Mathematics from University of Nebraska / Omaha, Fred moved to Tulsa in the early ‘60s. A chemist, he retired from Boeing in 1996. He loved to travel, cook, square-dance, and he especially loved to sing. He was a member of the All Souls Unitarian Church choir for over thirty years. He sang in twenty-five Tulsa Opera productions; he was a charter member of Tulsa Oratorio Chorus and sang with them over fifteen years. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 2 at 4:00 at All Souls Unitarian Church.
