Oklahoma drivers were holding their own during the finals of the Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout on Sunday night inside the Expo Square.

Tulsan Chris Andrews captured his first Golden Driller trophy with his victory in the non-wing outlaw feature, while Chris Cochran of McLoud also won his first title in the non-wing A-class main event.

Racing was still under way late Sunday. Additional results will appear in Tuesday's Tulsa World.

Andrews drove an error-free race to win the outlaw non-wing main event.

Andrews wheeled into the opening-lap lead from his outside front row starting position and led all 25 laps, but a host of challengers were waiting for him to make a mistake.

Pole-sitter Rick Cook trailed for three laps before Blake Hahn of Sapulpa started his charge. Hahn, who won the event two years ago, passed Cook on lap four and chased down Andrews. Hahn tried high and low but could not get around Andrews. After a lap 15 restart, Kinzer Edwards passed Hahn and set out after Andrews. But Edwards settled for second and Hahn fell to fourth as Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow passed him for third on lap 19.

Michael Dicely of Lewisville, Pa., won his first ever Shootout title in the 1200cc mini sprint feature.

Chris Cochran of McLoud gave Oklahoma a second winner in the non-wing A class feature. Following a lap eight restart, Cochran challenged early leader J.J. Haley of Winamac, Ind., and took over the lead on lap 10 for the win. Haley held on for second.

Ohio's Trey Gustin and Tyson Cross of Langley, British Columbia, ran 1-2 until the two made contact and spun to bring out the yellow flag. Brent Rees led on the restart before another yellow. Dicely inherited the lead on the restart and led the final lap for the victory.

Michael Faccinto led all the way to win the A-class feature. Jonathan Beason of Broken Arrow made a late charge to second, and last year's winner Mitchell Faccinto finished third.

Indiana's Jadon Rodgers held on to win the Junior Sprint title over Blake Battles of Collinsville. Battles chased Rodgers most of the way then had to hold off Sand Springs driver Hank Davis to challenge on the final lap. Davis pulled alongside Battles, but the Collinsville youngster kept his position, leaving Davis with third.

Three-time defending Chili Bowl champion Kevin Swindell competed in the Shootout but did not have his Chili Bowl luck with him. Swindell finished 10th in the non-wing A class feature and 15th in the winged A class feature.
