Letter to the Editor: Accessories

The time has come to lay down the gauntlet, to call out those who deserve to be morally indicted for their complicity in the slaughter of innocents. As it is written: "Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by the prophet: Saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children because they are no more." (Matthew 2:17-18).
Name them: The gun lobbies, The National Rifle Association, all and any who would arm our citizenry to the teeth in the name of freedom. They are indeed accessories of terrible crimes before, during and after the fact, murder and mayhem for the like of which there can be no excuse or reason given. They are the Herods of this age. In the name of all that is holy, it is time to be done with them.
