Police seek man in Wednesday bank robbery

A man implying he had a weapon robbed a midtown Tulsa bank Wednesday morning, police said.

About 11:40 a.m., the man walked into the IBC Bank, 1951 S. Yale Ave., approached the teller and demanded cash, police said. He implied he had a weapon, but none was seen, police said.

He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot, police said.

The man is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, medium height and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a stocking cap, gray Oklahoma sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677).

Tips may also be sent in a text message by sending TIP918 to CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
