A Broken Arrow man was charged Thursday in connection with a Christmas Day convenience store robbery.

Martin Allen Crawford, 26, was charged in Tulsa County District Court with second-degree robbery in relation to a heist at the Kum & Go store at 2100 W. New Orleans (101st) St. in Broken Arrow about 9:20 p.m. Dec. 25.

Crawford was booked into the Tulsa Jail on Dec. 28.

His arrest report states that officers developed him as a suspect after they reviewed security footage and noted the jacket the robber was wearing looked the same as one Crawford was wearing when officers contacted him Dec. 12 about an unrelated warrant.

Police obtained a new warrant and searched his residence, where they located items stolen during the robbery amd clothing that matched that seen in the security footage, according to the arrest report.

Crawford, who remained in the Tulsa Jail as of Thursday night, was also charged with "assault while masked or disguised" on an allegation that he wore a Joker mask during the robbery.
