A man killed by his brother last week because he was threatening their mother had become increasingly violent, according to a protective order filed by the mother.
Michael Todd Hall, 40, was shot and killed Dec. 27 by his brother, Timothy Trueblood, 54, after Hall attempted to attack their mother with a knife in her home at 1625 Fordson Drive, police said.
Elizabeth Ann Dolinar, 71, had filed for a protective order against Hall on behalf of herself and Aryana Dolinar, 12. It was issued in September.
According to the order, Hall had threatened to burn down Dolinar's house and frequently had vandalized Dolinar's property, breaking windows and windshields, smashing in the garage door and tearing up the sprinkler system.
