A University of Oklahoma student from Broken Arrow was the big winner Saturday at the site of the national championship college football game in Florida.

Kelsie Berg, 18, took home a $100,000 scholarship as part of the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway Saturday, just two days before No.1 Notre Dame and No. 2 Alabama are scheduled to battle for college football supremacy.

"It's overwhelming....and a blessing," Berg said moments after winning the competition.

Berg, along with five others, participated in the preliminary and final rounds Saturday at Sun Life Stadium in Miami to complete the task of throwing the most footballs through a large Dr Pepper can in 30 seconds.

The freshman mass communications major defeated four other finalists to win the award that will be officially presented to her during halftime of the Discover BCS National Championship game Monday.
