Citywide communion service set for Sunday
The Christian Ministers Alliance will hold its 20th annual citywide communion service at 6 p.m. Sunday at Greater Progressive Baptist Church, 1970 N. Boston Place.
The Rev. Roy P. Jones, pastor of Avery Chapel AME Church in Oklahoma City, will speak, and the choir from his church will sing.
Small group discussions will be held at 5 p.m. on "The most segregated hour in America: 11 am. Sunday."
Discussion leaders will be the Rev. Tom Moore, All Tribes Church; the Rev. Victor Orta, People of God Church; the Rev. G. Calvin McCutchen, pastor emeritus, Mount Zion Baptist Church; the Rev. V. R. McFarland, pastor of Philippi Baptist Church; and the Rev. Wally Johnson, First Presbyterian Church, Sapulpa.
