Logan W. Posey, 88, of Sapulpa passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home in Tulsa, OK. Logan was born on October 9, 1924, in Sapulpa to Katherine M. (Logan) and Frank Posey. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1942 and on August 27, 1948, married Patti in Sapulpa. He retired in 1989 as owner of Posey Bear Wheel Alignment Shop. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church serving as an officer and helping as needed. He served in the U.S. Navy for 2 ½ years. He was a mason and had numerous community interests. He is survived by daughter, Vicki of Sand Springs; and brother, James Posey of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patti (2005); parents, Frank (who passed prior to Logan’s birth) and Katherine M. Posey. The family has requested that friends who wish may make donations to the First Presbyterian Church in Logan’s name. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, Sapulpa, OK. Officiating will be the Reverend Wally Johnson. Interment to follow at South Heights Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 1/5/2013.
