3 men arrested in Tulsa shooting homicide

Tulsa police arrested three men Friday night in connection with Tulsa's first homicide of the year.
Jamal Dante Long, 19, Deonta Dixon, 21, and Warren David Dixon, 29, were arrested just after 7 p.m. Friday in connection with the shooting death of Ronnie Stanley, 31, who died after being transported to St. John Medical Center.
Police responded to the shooting in the 1800 block of north St. Louis Avenue just after 4 p.m., and officers found Stanley unresponsive in the street, according to the police report.
Long told police he and three others came through the backyard of a residence on north St. Louis Avenue and watched from the side of the house as Stanley walked up the street toward the home.
According to Long's arrest report, he told police two other men he was with walked up to Stanley carrying a .380 handgun and a 9mm handgun and fired several shots, hitting the victim. Then all four fled the scene in a stolen 2008 Toyota Sienna van, which matched the description given by a witness, and spotted at the scene of a shooting three days earlier.
Police said Warren Dixon was the driver of the van.
Police found a .380 semiautomatic handgun in the van and a 9mm magazine in Long's pants. Officers also matched shoe prints found at the scene to Long's shoes.
According to the arrest report, Long told police there was an ongoing money dispute between Stanley and Long's alleged accomplices, although investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.
Long was arrested on complaints of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, false impersonation after a felony conviction and joyriding.
Warren Dixon is being held on complaints of first-degree murder, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a firearm by a felon and improper left turn.
Deonta Dixon is in custody on possession of a firearm, joyriding and first-degree murder, jail records show.
All three men remain in the Tulsa Jail.
Investigators are also searching for witnesses to the shooting, as police believe there are additional suspects involved in the crime, police said.
