Police seek man in attempted restaurant robbery

Tulsa police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Tulsa restaurant Sunday.
The man confronted an employee in the parking lot of Panera Bread at 5601 E. 41st Street about 6 a.m. Sunday, Capt. Steve Odom said.
The man, who was brandishing a gun, grabbed the employee's cellphone and threw it on the ground before picking up a large rock and throwing it through the entrance of the cafe, Odom said.
He then demanded money from employees inside, police said. When the robber was told the safe could not be opened, the man fled the restaurant, police saod.
No one was injured, police said.
Investigators later recovered a stolen vehicle used in the robbery attempt, Odom said.
The suspect is described as black, in his 20s and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black shirt, police said.
