Early on Dec. 18, we awakened to find our front yard flooded and large amounts of water flowing down our driveway and down the slope of our backyard. After deducing the issue was not on our side of the meter, we called the Tulsa utilities department, which dispatched a crew to our home within a couple of hours. Being protective of our home and being a curious sort, I took off from work to observe the repair process, which took a good part of the day.
Our project represented a bit of a challenge because our gas line crossed the main water line near the point of the leak. Our crew took this in stride as if challenges were more the rule than the exception. From the beginning to the end of our project, I felt we were in capable hands.
I don't know what the leak in our yard, as well as other occurrences throughout the city, say about the condition of our city's water infrastructure, but I can speak to the quality of the employees who serve our city in providing clean water to our homes.
My thanks to Ross, Ryan and the backhoe operator with 29 years of experience who took care of our neighborhood problem, and to our city for facilitating the quality service which we experienced.
