I see the NRA and many Tulsans want more guns in schools. Here's some news for you: Columbine had an armed guard. Virginia Tech had a whole police department. Fort Hood is an Army base. More guns do not stop violence.
But it's nice that we have the millions of dollars that all those guards and guns would cost. Instead, how about if we spend it on schools and mental health? I know it wouldn't help the gun lobby, but maybe it would help the world.

Guns are displayed on tables in Camden, N.J., on Dec. 18. A gun buyback event brought in more than 1,100 weapons.
