Duncan teen killed in collision, mother hurt

DUNCAN — Authorities said a Duncan teenager has died after he and his mother were hit by a car.

Police said the incident happened Monday night on Main Street in Duncan. Lawton television station KSWO reports that 15-year-old Hunter Vaughn and his mother, 36-year-old Christine Vaughn, were on foot when they were struck by a car.

Police said both were flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where Hunter died early Tuesday morning.

Authorities said Christine Vaughn is in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
