The DoSomething.org website has tallied the most charitable celebs of 2012, and Oklahoma's Carrie Underwood is No. 17 on the list.
The only Oklahoma star on the roundup raised more than $350,000 for her hometown through her Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation. She's also a supporter of Red Cross, PETA and Humane Society, and she recently donated all proceeds from a recent New Jersey concert to superstorm Sandy relief efforts.
Taylor Swift snagged the No. 1 spot, followed by Miley Cyrus, Channing Tatum, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Other notable list-makers include George Takei, Ben Affleck, Ryan Seacrest and Drew Brees. See the full top 20 at DoSomething.org
Also, celebrity gossip site TMZ reports that Underwood has sold her first home, the post-"American Idol"-win house she bought in Franklin, Tenn., in 2005. She sold the three-bed, three-and-a-half-bath spread recently for $372,000. In 2011, she and husband Mike Fisher spent more than $3 million on 400 acres near Nashville.
OKC rapper's video drops
Oklahoma City rapper Jabee recently released his latest video, "Stephanie (Super Ugly)." He's put massive power behind it, too. The song was produced by megawatt El-P (Aesop Rock, Zach de la Rocha, Beck, Hot Hot Heat, Nine Inch Nails), and features North Carolinian soul singer and hip-hopper Carlitta Durand. Steve Jones of Norman's Digital DK directed the video.
