Tulsa livestock

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following closing prices Monday at the Tulsa Stockyards:

Receipts: 3,445; last sale: 2,268.

Compared to last sale: Feeder steers and heifers $2-4 higher. Steer and heifer calves $2-6 higher with good demand. Today's offering had a good number of long weaned calves of good quality. Supply included 19 percent over 600 lbs., 41 percent heifers 406 cows and bulls.

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following midsession prices Monday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 10,700; week ago: closed; year ago: 10,965.

Compared to the last test two weeks ago: Feeder steers 2 to 3 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 2 higher. Steer and heifer calves trading 2 to 4 higher. Early demand good for all classes. Conditions remain very dry but good chances of rain are in the forecast for midweek.
