My, my, how I do love all the lights. This year I enjoyed the lights even more than previous years. The limo light tour with my senior friends was great. Maybe the champagne gave that occasion a boost.

We took in lots of lights including Swan Lake, Jenks Main Street and many private homes. Bless those who enjoy sharing their lights with those of us who dearly love seeing them. My wife and I took the Chandler Park light tour, the ever-fantastic Rhema display, as well as the awesome display at Paragon on 121st Street South, just west of U.S. 75.

Thanks so very much to all of you who share your lights with us. Now, here's my request: Please, please take them down shortly after New Year's Day. Those of us who sincerely enjoy the holidays, including the light displays, do not enjoy seeing them for weeks into the new year.

One of our favorite light displays this year has been our own home here in Jenks. It might not compare to many of the huge displays around Tulsa, but it sure did light up our neighborhood and our holiday. It's fun to come home after dark and have them welcome you as you pull into the driveway. It took us nearly three days to put them all in place. Now, we're faced with the daunting task of taking them down, boxing and labeling them for next year.
