October 29, 1913 – January 4, 2013 Esther Mildred (Molly) Parker was born October 29, 1913 in Hillsboro, Kansas to Aaron W. and Tressa (Wendland) Zacharias and passed from this life January 4, 2013 at the age of 99. Early in life she moved with her family from Kansas to Florida then to Oklahoma where the family settled in Tulsa. Molly graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1926. Along with her parents she was involved with the building of University Methodist Church where she married Norman Eugene Parker Sr. on October 22, 1936. They moved to Wyoming where she was a homemaker until they purchased the Rainbow Park Motel in Cody which they owned until their retirement in 1990. She had a tremendous love for music. She directed church choirs in Wyoming and Montana. She also sang in Sweet Adeline’s, Barber Shop Bells and performed in various musical productions through the years. Molly cherished all the friends she made through her 99 years. The most recent being the wonderful people at Oklahoma Methodist Manor where she made her home since 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Ruth Zacharias. She is survived by her children Gene Parker and his wife, Kandi of Blackfoot, ID; Susie (Parker) Butterworth and her husband, Mark of Tulsa; grandchildren, Jennifer (Parker) Rudser and her husband, Kris; Nick Parker and his wife, Julie all of the Boise, ID area; Ashley (Butterworth) Raborn and her husband, Dave; and Parker Butterworth all of Tulsa. Molly was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren, Isabella and Dominic Parker; Edward, Noah, Joseph, Alexander and Joshua Rudser. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at University Methodist Church in Tulsa Oklahoma. Interment will be in Cody, Wyoming in the summer of 2013 after a memorial service at Cody United Methodist Church.
