OKLAHOMA CITY —
State leaders on Wednesday
identified members of a new
commission that will evaluate
school safety statewide in
the wake of the elementary
school massacre last month
in Connecticut.
Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb will
lead the nonpartisan Oklahoma
Commission on School
Security. Lamb is a former
Secret Service agent.
“Our children deserve safe and secure learning environments,
and this commission
is committed to doing just
that,” Lamb said in a statement.
“Each commission
member brings experience
from their respective field
that will generate ideas and
solutions to enhance school
security.”
The group will meet for the
Jan. 22 at the state Capitol.
For more information or to
submit ideas, call Lamb’s office
at (405) 521-2161.
