Latest alleged assault by OSU student detailed

STILLWATER - An alleged assault against a 22-year-old man led to the latest of four sexual battery charges against a former Oklahoma State University student, according to a court affidavit filed Tuesday.
The man told police that Nathan Micheal Cochran, 22, felt his leg and back and tried to put his hands down his pants as the two were lying on a sofa bed about 3:45 a.m. Aug. 11 at a house in the 1000 block of West Connell Avenue in Stillwater, the document says.
Cochran had offered to let the man sleep on the bed earlier in the night and seemed to be asleep when the man lay down, according to the document.
Between attempts to touch the man, Cochran sent him a text message saying that he wanted to see what it was like to be with a man, the affidavit alleges.
The man told police that he told Cochran to stop, pushed his hand away and then left the house.
Cochran was charged Friday in the incident.
He had been charged Dec. 12 with three counts of sexual battery in two other alleged assaults - one in an OSU dormitory Aug. 15 and another Nov. 3, 2011, at the same house as the Aug. 11 incident.
An earlier court document indicates that Cochran and the alleged victim of the Nov. 3, 2011, incident lived at the house.
Cochran, a Heavener High School graduate, was secretary of OSU's Interfraternity Council and was a student director for Gundyville, a program that allows OSU students to camp near Boone Pickens Stadium before home football games.
Five male OSU students told administrators between Nov. 12 and Nov. 28 that Cochran had sexually assaulted them, and administrators suspended him for three years after discipline panels ruled Nov. 30 that four of the complaints were justified.
Police have said that those accusers were not among the ones who later spoke with police in connection with the investigation that led to the charges.
Cochran's next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 4.
