Notes: Long time, no see.

It has been this long: Oral Roberts' women's basketball team will play a home game for the first time in 36 days, when Northwestern (La.) State pays a Thursday visit to the Mabee Center.

And it has been this long: Before ORU's most recent home game, Sarah Shelton had made just one start and was averaging 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds. Now she's a veteran of eight starts and, in two Southland Conference games, the 6-foot-3 SMU transfer is averaging 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.

ORU, formerly a member of the Summit League, will host a Southland home game for the first time.

Northwestern State is 1-2 in league play, but the lone victory was a big one. The Demons ambushed preseason favorite McNeese State.

Northwestern's coaching situation is unique. In April, Scott and Brooke Stoehr (they are husband and wife) were named co-head coaches.
