A Spavinaw teenager pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to a charge of committing aggravated sexual abuse on an underage girl.

Nathaniel Eugene Jumper, 18, pleaded guilty to one count of a Nov. 7 indictment that was filed in U.S. District Court in Tulsa.

The charges indicate that the victim of the Oct. 22 crime was a relative of Jumper's. Assistant U.S. Attorney Trent Shores said Friday that she was 14 at the time.

Jumper admitted Friday that he forced the girl to engage in sexual intercourse with him.

The crime occurred in "Indian Country" in Spavinaw. The location of the crime and the fact that both Jumper and the victim are Native Americans established federal jurisdiction.

U.S. District Judge James Payne is scheduled to sentence Jumper on April 24. Shores estimated that Jumper will face 10 to 15 years in prison.
