Tulsa returns to teen temperatures overnight

Tulsa tied its monthly low temperature this morning and may go even lower tonight.
The National Weather Service reported a low temperature of 17 degrees, which matches this month's low set Jan. 2. Tulsa also reached the teens with Sunday's low of 19 degrees.
Tulsa's temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-30s today and Tuesday, but return to the mid-teens overnight tonight and Tuesday night.
The lowest Tulsa temperature ever recorded in the month of January was minus-16 on Jan. 22, 1930, which is also the lowest all-time temperature ever recorded in Tulsa. Weather service temperature records for Tulsa date back to 1905.
Later this week, Tulsa's temperatures are forecast to reach the 50s Wednesday through Sunday, when daily highs are forecast to fall to the 40s. Overnight lows are forecast for the 20s Wednesday and Thursday nights, then the 30s Friday and Saturday nights.
Tulsa's highest temperature so far this month was 70 degrees Friday, according to the weather service.
There are currently no precipitation chances forecast for this week in Tulsa, which received 0.32 of an inch Saturday, bringing the months' total rainfall to 0.62 of an inch.
