Teen temperatures in Tulsa forecast to continue

From the Tulsa World weather blog: Tulsa's weather milestones of 2012: What was the highest/lowest tempeartures? The most snow? The most rain?

With temperatures in the teens this morning and overnight lows forecast for the teens tonight, Tulsa may have four days in a row reaching lows in the teens.

The National Weather Service reported a low of 19 degrees Sunday; a low of 16 degrees Monday; a low of 17 degrees between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. today; and a forecast low around 17 degrees overnight tonight in Tulsa.

Monday's low of 16 degrees beat this month's previous lowest temperature -- 17 degrees on Jan. 2.

Tulsa's high temperatures are forecast to reach the upper 30s today; the mid-40s Wednesday and Thursday; the 50s Friday and Saturday; then the 40s Sunday and 30s Monday, according to the weather service.

Tulsa's overnight lows are expected to be in the 20s most of the next week after tonight, with a low in the 30s on Friday night being the exception, the weather service forecasts.

Tulsa's highest temperature so far this month was 70 degrees on Friday.

No rain chances are currently forecast for Tulsa for the next week. Tulsa recorded 0.62 of an inch so far this month, which is slightly below normal rainfall for this time in January.
