CASPER, Wyo. — A person believed to be responsible for making an online threat of mass violence in Casper, Wyo. has been arrested in Oklahoma.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports that federal agents arrested the unidentified person Monday afternoon.
Casper police started getting calls about the threat around 7 a.m. Monday. Schools in the city were locked down for about an hour but then operated on "heightened awareness" the rest of the day.
The suspect isn't believed to have any ties to Wyoming and investigators think Casper was a random target.
