DALLAS — Southwest Airlines has resumed flights at Dallas Love Field after early-morning delays blamed on ice and snowy conditions.
The National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a winter weather advisory for the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Hundreds of flights were grounded or delayed in North Texas due to the winter weather.
A spokeswoman said Dallas-based Southwest suspended operations for about two hours at Love Field but restored its regular schedule by shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday.
American Airlines spokeswoman Mary Frances Fagan said the carrier canceled 231 flights Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. She said American Eagle canceled 90 flights. Crews worked to de-ice planes as morning temperatures hovered near freezing.
