Tulsa temperatures forecast to rise to 50s later this week

Information on freezing rain and Tulsa's 2012 weather milestones
Tulsa temperatures sank to 15 degrees this morning but are forecast to rise to the upper 50s later this week.
The National Weather Service forecasts highs in the mid-40s today; the upper 40s Thursday; the mid-50s Friday; then the upper 50s Saturday in Tulsa.
Tulsa's highs are expected to return to the 30s by Martin Luther King Day on Monday.
Overnight lows are expected to reach the 20s tonight and Thursday night, then the 30s through Sunday night, when lows in the 20s are forecast again for Tulsa. Lows are expected to fall to the teens on Monday night, the weather service forecasts.
Not including today, Tulsa's lowest temperature so far this month was 16 degrees Monday. The highest was 70 degrees Friday, according to the weather service.
No precipitation chances are currently forecast for the next week. Tulsa recorded 0.62 of an inch of rain so far this month, which is 0.15 of an inch below normal rainfall for this time of January.
