MUSKOGEE — A former volunteer firefighter in Muskogee County has waived his right to a preliminary hearing on five charges of third-degree arson.
Tobey Hadley Jr. is accused of setting multiple grass fires last summer. The 19-year-old was a volunteer firefighter in Warner before his arrest.
The Muskogee Phoenix reports that Hadley is due to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 14
Authorities said Hadley and another firefighter set grass fires over the summer and another fire that burned an abandoned house. No one was injured in any of the fires.
Hadley's attorney, Larry Vickers, said his client waived the preliminary hearing because they are working on a plea agreement with prosecutors.
