QuikTrip is one of America’s "100 Best Companies to Work For" for the 11th year in a row according to the annual report from Fortune Magazine.

The Tulsa-based convenience store and gas station chain ranked as the 66th best company to work, alongside two other Oklahoma companies, Chesapeake Energy and Devon Energy in Oklahoma City.

“Obviously for one to be considered for this is an honor, but to make it 11 years in a row, it kind of validates a lot of things that Quiktrip has always tried to do,” said Mike Thornbrugh, spokesman for the company.

Thornbrugh said the company has garnered attention because of its low employee turnover, it’s higher pay than competitors and its policy of promoting nearly all of its employees from within.

The Fortune Magazine list won’t be released online until Thursday and in print until Monday.

QuikTrip has more than 12,000 employees at 644 stores nationwide. It also has 36 stores under construction.
