Oklahoma health department reports nearly 500 flu-related hospitalizations since September

One hundred more Oklahomans have been hospitalized from the flu but no new deaths have been reported, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
Since Sept. 30, 484 people have been hospitalized in the state and eight have died. Half of those deaths have been in people older than 65 and the other half in people aged 19 to 64.
Three of the deaths have been in Tulsa County and the rest in Creek, Mayes, Muskogee, Pittsburg and Rogers counties.
