Correction: A Friday Tulsa World headline incorrectly stated that two Tulsa Jail inmates have been charged in separate shootings. The inmates -- Marquise Fonville, 27, and Emmanuel Duffy, 19 -- each have been accused of shooting with an intent to kill in unrelated incidents. This story has been corrected.

Complaints of shooting with an intent to kill were added to the allegations against two inmates who were already in custody at the Tulsa Jail on Wednesday.

Marquise Fonville, 27, and Emmanuel Duffy, 19, both of Tulsa, are suspects in separate shootings in early January.

Fonville is accused of shooting David Williams, 32, of Tulsa during an altercation in the 4000 block of North Garrison Place about 8:30 p.m. Jan. 6.

Fonville reportedly told detectives that he shot Williams in self-defense. Williams was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition, EMSA spokeswoman Kelli Bruer said.

Duffy is accused of shooting a 31-year-old Tulsa man during a failed robbery attempt near East Central Junior High School, police said.

Duffy and another man, whose name has not been released, are accused of arranging a drug deal at the Worthington Townhouses, 11813 E. 21st Court, on Jan. 2, according to a police report. The other man, who told police he drove Duffy to the scene, named Duffy as the shooter, the report states.

The victim told police that two men blocked him in his car and then shot him in the abdomen when he tried to flee, police said previously.

The man was in critical condition when he was taken to a hospital from the MedCenter at 2929 S. Garnett Road, where he initially sought treatment, according to EMSA and police records.

Duffy was arrested Jan. 4 on warrants in two other felony cases. He faces several burglary charges and three counts of knowingly concealing stolen property, among others. His bail is set at $161,500.

Charges of grand larceny, first-degree burglary and robbery are pending against Fonville. He is being held in lieu of $147,000 bail.
