OKLAHOMA CITY - The Putnam City campus police officer was injured in a fall and was taken to the hospital, spokesman Steve Lindley said.

The man who was fighting with the officer was arrested on complaints of assault and battery on an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, Lindley said. He was taken to the Oklahoma County jail.

Lindley said the parent checked a student into the office after classes had begun and left the building. Then the man returned and confronted the security officer; he became belligerent when he was asked to leave, Lindley said.

The confrontation turned physical outside the building, he said.
