BARTLESVILLE - A battle between two of Class 6A's top teams didn't disappoint as the No. 5 Owasso boys rallied to beat No. 7 Bartlesville 73-69.

The Rams went on a 15-5 run over the last four minutes to seal the win over the host Bruins. Owasso came back from a 60-51 deficit with 5:46 left.

"In the end, we were able to make plays down the stretch to get enough points to win," Owasso coach Mark Vancuren said.

Jaylen Lowe and Shake Milton led the furious comeback in the fourth quarter and kept the Bruins at bay once the Rams took the lead.

"One word - clutch. Game's on the line, and Shake hit the free throws we need to win," Vancuren said.

The sophomore had 12 of his game-high 26 in the final period. Milton was also 6-of-6 from the foul line down the stretch.

Bartlesville (8-3) consistently built leads up to double digits, but the Rams always had an answer. Senior Quinton Smith led the Bruins with 23 points on a night where BYU signee Jakob Hartsock was held to just 15 points and only three points at halftime.

Owasso (9-1) was constantly playing from behind but took a 65-64 lead with 2:32 left in the game, a lead it would not relinquish.

Milton's offense and Lowe's defense sparked Owasso's run in the final period and gave the Rams the edge they needed to put Bartlesville away. Owasso will continue its run of six games in nine nights Friday on the road at No. 4 Broken Arrow.

Bartlesville 55, Owasso 44 (girls): Bartlesville outscored Owasso 15-5 in the final quarter and won 55-44 to remain the only undefeated team in 6A. Bartlesville led by a point going into the fourth quarter but held Owasso scoreless until the 3:26 mark.

The No. 3 Bruins beat the Rams for the second time this season. The teams met in a tournament over winter break where Bartlesville won 73-56.

Senior Paige Wilson and sophomore Hailey Tucker led Bartlesville (11-0) with 24 and 17 points, respectively.

Wilson had 15 of her game-high 24 in the second and third quarters. Tucker scored 11 of her 17 in the second half. Owasso (5-8) was led by Dru Clark with 13.
