Man suspected of sexually abusing child for years arrested

A man accused of sexually abusing a young girl for a period of nearly five years was arrested Thursday.
Daniel Cortez-Lazcano, 24, was charged Jan. 11 with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, Tulsa County District Court filings show. Filings indicate the girl was 5 when the alleged abuse began in December 2007.
Tulsa County sheriff’s deputies arrested Cortez-Lazcano at 1:30 p.m., jail records show.
He was released after posting bail on a $100,000 bond.
