Broken Arrow man arrested for allegedly raping girl for nearly five years

A Broken Arrow man who had been accused of raping a girl for nearly five years was arrested.
Eric Lewis Larhman, 38, was charged Friday with eight counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12, Tulsa County District Court filings revealed.
Larhman allegedly began abusing the girl when she was just 4 years old in July 2007, according to the filings.
Court documents describe Larhman as a family acquaintance of the girl.
Larhman was booked into the Tulsa Jail at 6:25 p.m., an arrest report indicates.
The arresting officer wrote in the report that Larhman allegedly said, “I knew this day would come. I tried to stop” as he was being taken into custody.
He is being held in the Tulsa Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail.
