No. 2 Cowboys power past WVU

The No. 2 Oklahoma State wrestling team remains undefeated after putting up bonus points in five of Friday night's bouts, beating West Virginia 36-3 in Stillwater.

The Cowboys (9-0) picked up wins in nine of the 10 matches.

Jordan Oliver was only on the mat a short time as he pinned Tre Miller-Scott in 1:19, earning the first of many bonus points for the team.

Redshirt freshman Alex Dieringer put up four points for OSU with his 11-2 major decision, which came with three takedowns, a near-fall, an escape and four minutes of riding time.

No. 1-ranked Chris Perry collected three takedowns en route to an 8-2 decision, and at 197 pounds, 16th-ranked Blake Rosholt had a solid performance as he added 1:55 riding time to his takedown and two escapes, defeating A.J. Vizcarrondo 4-1.

Heavyweight Alan Gelogaev earned the final six points for the Cowboys, pinning Phil Mandzik in just 55 seconds. The fall was Gelogaev's third of the season.

The Cowboys take on No. 17 Pittsburgh at 4 p.m. Sunday in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
