Four teams are tied atop the Southland Conference standings. Two of them will collide when Oral Roberts plays a Saturday road game at Sam Houston State.

Also in the four-team logjam are Central Arkansas and Lamar. Central Arkansas was unbeaten in league play and alone at the top before losing Thursday to the team that ORU will face Saturday.

Senior guard Kevi Luper was playing just the fifth game of her collegiate career the last time ORU faced Sam Houston State. Now Luper is the 40th-leading scorer in NCAA Division I women's basketball history. She needs 18 points to catch 39th-place Deborah Temple, who completed her Ole Miss career in 1985, and 23 points to catch 38th-place Katie Smith, who finished her Ohio State career in 1996.

Luper scored a season-low five points on 2-of-10 shooting in her most recent game (at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi), but the Golden Eagles survived because they have other emerging scorers, including Christian Key. The junior guard has scored 20 or more points in consecutive games for the first time in her career.
