In his Dec. 30 column, "Whose prayer," Associate Editor Mike Jones said that things had not gotten worse since prayer, Bible reading, the Ten Commandments, etc., were taken out of schools.

He could not have been more wrong. You never heard of mass murder by other students and very few single shootings and stabbings in schools. There were some laws but there was sure and quick justice. Even one Supreme Court justice said that if children see the Ten Commandments in schools they might obey them.

After the Columbine murders, almost all of the GOP in Congress wanted to post the Ten Commandments in schools but the Democrats voted it down.

Thanks a lot, Democrats.
