Letter to the Editor: Wake up

Wake up, you dumb Americans who want gun control. It's not the rifle, pistol, baseball bat, hammer, knife, a steel ink pen or whatever weapon a person chooses to commit the crime of murder but the idiot behind the trigger or wielding the weapon of choice that commits the crime that kills.
Until we get the people under control the killings will not stop. The criminals will always have weapons no matter whether it's a gun or whatever to do the deed he or she has in mind at the time.
Wake up, Americans, the bad guy will always have a weapon of choice to do his deed. The only protection we have is a well-armed citizen with the know-how and willingness to use it to protect himself or herself as well as bystanders from harm.
Our forefathers put the Second Amendment in our Constitution for a reason, and that is only one reason, but the main one is so we will have no fear of tyranny.
