The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame must be the perfect place to hold a Mardi Gras celebration.

Plan to be part of the fun when Quota International of Tulsa holds its fifth annual Fat Tuesday event Feb. 12.

The fun-filled event offers a New Orleans-style buffet, full-service bar, music from the Leon Rollerson band, dancing and other jazz entertainment. Guests will revel amid decorations of beads, coins, masks and feathered boas.

Quota International of Tulsa - a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization - helps those who are hearing impaired as well as disadvantaged women and children.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser support Women in Recovery, DVIS, the Laura Dester Center, TSHA (Total Source for Hearing-loss and Access), Happy Hands, San Miguel School, Knitten Kittens of RSVP, Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Resonance Center for Women, Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and Quota International World Services.

Diana Higgins from Total Source for Hearing-loss and Mimi Tarrasch from Women in Recovery will share how Quota Tulsa makes a difference in their programs. Women in Recovery is an alternative to incarceration for women in Tulsa County facing significant prison sentences combining strict supervision with a comprehensive day-treatment format for women with substance abuse problems.

There will be a silent auction, raffle, wine and restaurant pulls.

A live auction will include a four-night Santa Fe luxury getaway for two at the Residence Club at El Corazon; a three-night stay New Orleans Jazz and dining experience with Renaissance Pere Marquette; a four-night San Francisco and Sonoma Fairmont vacation; a BodyCoffee Pure Bliss Experience and Travel Spa from Skin Care Institute Medical & Wellness Spa; and a one-of-a-kind New Orleans-themed painting by artist David Race.

Event sponsors include the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Conner and Winters, Crypton Fabric, WPX Energy, Phillips and Bacon, the Warshaw Group, Feline Specialties, Pat Robertson, and Monte and Judy Miron.

Bobbi Warshaw is event chairwoman. Committee members include Joan Burns, Erika Campbell, Nancy Davis, Clara Holderman, Nancy Hurley, Mary Larey, Judy Miron, Diane Moore, Jennifer O'Cain, Jane Powell, Jayne Rehm, Connie Schlecht, Tami Spocogee and Bette Wozobski.

Tickets are $45 per person.
