Officials at AT&T have acknowledged some local outages for their U-verse service.
Emily Lang, spokeswoman for AT&T, said in an emailed statement the company is aware of the issues in its home internet and television package.
“AT&T customers in some of our markets are experiencing issues with U-verse service,” she said. “This issue currently affects less than one percent of our U-verse subscribers, but that is too many and we are working hard to fix this.
“We are making progress in resolving the issue, which is related to a server complex, and are working to determine when service will be completely restored. We apologize for this inconvenience.”
U-verse customers have reported to the Tulsa World that their service has been interrupted for as much as two days.
The extent of the outage is unknown, though various other news outlets, including the Miami Herald, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Houston Chronicle, KARK-TV in Little Rock, the Charlotte Observer and others have reported similar outages in their areas.
