No injuries were reported in the aftermath of a Thursday night apartment fire in Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Fire Department.
The fire at 1425 S. Quaker Ave. was reported shortly before 9 p.m., Fire Department spokesman Stan May said.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly, he said. However, an upstairs apartment sustained extensive fire damage, while a neighboring unit sustained mostly smoke and water damage. Those two apartments will need extensive repairs, May said.
Two adjacent units absorbed enough smoke to make them uninhabitable tonight, although their residents should be able to occupy them as soon as Friday, he said.
May estimated the total damage at $25,000 to $30,000.
Investigators were still trying late Thursday to determine what started the fire, he said.
