Tiffani Couisnard scored the final three points of the game to give Tulsa a 54-51 win over Central Florida on Thursday night at the Reynolds Center.

Taleya Mayberry scored a team-best 22 points for the Golden Hurricane (7-11, 2-3 in Conference USA), while Kadan Brady scored 11 points.

Couisnard finished with seven points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three blocks.

UCF (6-12, 0-4) was led by Gevenia Carter with 11 points.

"I thought the way that we won tonight was huge," TU head coach Matilda Mossman said. "We haven't been good at finishing halves, whether it's the first or second half.

"The fact that we came out with a win tonight and the way we did it I think will pay dividends down the road."

UCF led 31-25 at the half, but Tulsa started the second half on an 11-5 run to tie the contest at 36-all with 15:03 left. Neither team led by more than three points for the rest of the game. With the scored tied at 51-51, Couisnard hit a free throw with 1:59 remaining to give TU the lead. She then hit a jumper with 11 seconds left for the final score.

The Golden Hurricane shot just 29 percent from the field for the game, including 8-of-20 from 3-point range. TU also made 14-of-20 free throws.

Tulsa will host SMU at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Reynolds Center.
